I really wanted to join the USC Trojan Marching Band, but I didn’t play any band instruments. So I learned to play alto sax over the summer through a combination of figuring it out myself and taking lessons. And now I’m in the band!
I don’t know flute, but I hear that if you do, it’s easy to transfer to sax, since the fingerings are mostly the same.
