I would like to buy a vacation home that I can rent and hopefully, become financially independent, instead of relying solely on my job for money.

How I did it: I sent an email to all the friends from my work account (so he's not able to view, easy for me to view all responses). Got some friends to take him out for dinner, then when he got home, all our other friends were there to surprise him. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Two friends (a cop and a Marine) offered to show me, so I jumped at the chance! I fired a .38 Smith & Wesson revolver, a 9mm Glock, a 12 guage shotgun, and an AK47!!!It was so empowering and less scary than I thought. I had great instructors and I am now excited to go to a firing range and apply for my firearms card! I would enthusiastically do it again! Read how I did it…
I do volunteer when the opportunity arises (through work, friends’ charity activities, special events, local food bank), but I haven’t yet found “the one…”
The one (or two) organizations whose purpose I love and am willing to give up Saturdays to work with.
Maybe I enjoy my free time too much? Maybe there’s something I can do in my spare time & then donate according to my schedule?
I already donate $$, but it seems so impersonal, like paying a bill. I believe in their causes, but need to find something to be active in.
I just posted in my calendar to make fleece tie blankets once a month for Project Linus, and then drop them off at the chapter’s drop off center.
I posted it for once a month; hopefully I’ll have a large stack to give them every few months…. and it will satisfy my desire to get back into crafts.
