I didn’t eat a lot of meat growing up. When I say that, I mean, I had more seafood, and a few non-meat based meals growing up.
A lot of that changed when I got married. My spouse is of a different ethnicity, and his upbringing always included some sort of beef, pork or poultry. And to not cause issues at dinnertime, I’ve ended up modifying or changing the way I cook to so he’d enjoy his meal (and not complain about “not getting full” if there wasn’t meat on the plate.
I have proposed the idea of going meatless (except for seafood) for the entire Lent season. My husband is up for it, and I hope we can follow through and finish this together.
Hopefully we won’t automatically go back to meat once Easter comes.

I’ve always been a sickly kid – you know – the one that was always picked (second to) last in gym class. I also have been diagnosed with asthma, which I’m sure causes me to be even less active than I want to be.
I’m on the path to being more motivated and curious as to how to improve my well being; without relying on doctors and medications. I believe building enough endurance to run would be a good way to bring myself to the path of wellness.
I’d like to run a 5k as a reward to (and proof of) improving my health.

I’ve always had issues re: having enough water intake. To the point where I become slightly dehydrated. This has caused me to have difficulty donating blood (which is another goal), and contributed (I think) to some health issues that came to a head two years ago.
One thing I have started to do is have a giant mug of tea in the morning at work. That helps me increase my fluid intake, and also doesn’t give me a reason to skip my vitamin or supplements.
Another is a self-imposed rule to drink (and finish) at least one glass of water while I’m on the laptop at home, surfing.
I have started to develop a craving for water when I haven’t had any in a few hours, so I think it’s starting to work.
