I didn’t set out to do this and it scared me silly. I still get goosebumps thinking about it 7 years later. I never used to believe in ghosts and to then see something which you think doesn’t exist is not a nice experience.

I learned both french and german up to the age of 18. Only thing is that after 12 years of not using the languages I’ve become very rusty. Learning any language is well worth doing but you have to keep up the practice otherwise you forget words incredibly quickly.

There’s loads of free penpal sites on the web. Yahoo groups is quite a good place to start. The only problem is that there are a lot of people who only write two or three times. When you can find somebody who has a lot in common with you and who sticks around then it is really worth it.
