I sit here. Here I am… right at my desk.. just living. As I stare at the pile of books on my desk- I realize I am actually living. I am actually doing a job I really dig, eating a healthy diet, making frequent trips to the bookstores/ libraries…and checking things off my list! :) I usually plan and then life happens. And ultimately… I sit around mopping into bare existence. I am pretty content with life right now. Life is good. Go live it!

This week I read “From Beirut to Jerusalem” by Thomas Friedman and “Living a Jewish Life” by Anita Diamant.
Both were chosen to learn more about the history of Israel and Judaism. Next week I think I am going to lighten it up a bit… :)
Perhaps a little David Sedaris or another infectious read by Bill Bryson?
Well..I introduced myself to the synagogue on Friday evening and joined them for service and Oneg. :)
My nervousness quickly subsided and everyone was quite welcoming. It was a true test of commitment- because there were a million reasons I could used to “hold off” on going.. but I didn’t. And actually..I think I just might make this my Friday evening ritual… :)
Rabbi also mentioned that he would give me a few books to read next week! Yay! I like this new productive me.
