Pray daily
Tithing my time 3 years ago

Prayer is the one thing I believe ~ everyone ~ should do daily. It is a beautiful way to start the day!

Had a lovely time yesterday interceeding for needs of others & the world in general (it’s so good to get away from the usual ‘selfish’ prayers most of us make!)

Also managed to get up early this morning (another thing I’m trying to make a daily event) and get into chapel for my personal prayer. All good!

In Christianity we believe we should tithe (give 10% of our earnings to the Lord). I feel it’s important that we tithe our time too – maybe not 2 hrs 40 minutes a day! – but something daily at least – back to the ONE Who unconditinally gives us so much.

Read more books
Read more books! 3 years ago

I made a New Year’s Resolution this year (2006) to not buy any books until I had read all the books I already own. It was not long into the year before I broke that resolution!

I have however started reading again, almost with the same fevor I had once when I would never be without a book in my hand.

Reading is for the mind what food is for the body. I am so much happier and wiser for it.

Presently reading:
(01) The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People ~ Stephen Covey ~
(02) (Halfway through) The Monk who sold his Ferrari ~ Robin Sharma ~
