My family loves going on cruises for the simply reason that whenever we take any other type of vacation, no one ever wants to decide where to go or what to eat- I guess we are all rather apathetic. On a cruise all that is taken care of and mom and dad can let the kids run around on their own because, after all, how far could they go.
Ports of call are generally shopping excuses but staying on the ship while everyone else gets off is EXTREMELY relaxing.
For the down to earth family experience I would go with Carnival as they have more excursion choices and more activities for all ages. Princess is nice, sophisticated but very shopping oriented, slacking on the children’s department, and the staff are more “up-tight” than others. Royal Caribbean is all out but a little too pricey as compared with Carnival.

Can’t think of what to do with all that extra yarn. Simply hats and scarves, no matter how ugly, can benefit those less fortunate. Find a local mission, church group, or even international mission that can help you spread the joy.
