Hey all, I've been gone a long time

I think I’m pretty much done with this goal. I have not been on a diet as such, just eatting normally and maintaining my weight. It’s been 2 months and I haven’t put on weight.

Well I tell a lie, I’ve just got back from holiday and I stuffed myself every day with rubbish, due to it been all inclusive that means FREE food and beer Yahooo. I’m so glad I lost all that weight, I still felt fat (well maybe chubby) while on holiday, but I felt much better than I did 3 years a go when I last went on holiday. My new aim is to look how I want to look by next years holiday.

Any wya I put on 2.5 pounds which was fun. But still my BMI is in the normal range and I’m feeling healthy. My main aim now is to lose body fat, rather than “weight” as a general turm.

I’m kinda on the thinking that BMI is a little 2 general once you get down to healthy, but it does make a very good guide and target to aim for if you are over weight, or more importnantly if you are unhappy with your weight.

I’m still going to leave this goal open, as I like adding comments and I’ll proberbly add more now that I’m trying to lose bodyfat again.

Good luck all, and Hi :)

Another week. Another 1lb (In the wrong direction)

Can you tell from the title what I’m gonna say? Lets see if you can…

Well my weight this morning was 167lbs

However I have to point out, I ate very well last week, and I worked out at the gym 6 times. 3 Cardio sessions and 3 Weight lifting and did a 4 mile run on sunday morning. All my Gym sessions are at least a hour long and I push my self everytime. So I definatly didn’t put on Fat.

I got some of the body fat calipers to test my BF% I did the 3 point test and my body fat percentage is now 21%

20% is classed as the healthly range. Whaooo Me. I’m almost healthy in BF% and I am in BMI.

Micky Out for another week.
Good luck all

First week back

This week was a good week, in fact I’d go so far as to say I loved it :)

Nice to get back at it, with a idea of were I want to be next. I was thinking maybe I should set out some long term goals as well.

Anyway. On to what I did

Well with it been my first week, I spent loads of time at the gym :)

Monday: 8:30am – 9:45. Cardio Running and bike
Monday: 1:30 – 2:30 Full body weights program
Tuesday: 7:am – 10am Golfing
Tuesday: 1:30 – 2:30 Cardio running, bike and rowing
Wednesday: 1:30 – 2:30 Full body weights program
Thursday: 8:30am – 9:30 Cardio Running and Bike
Thursday: 1:30 – 2:30 Light cardio walking up very steep hill and at intervals
Friday: 2pm – 3pm Full body weights
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Rest

I was worried at the end of the week I might feel bad with over training, but I felt ok. It wasn’t really my plan to train that much but it just happened.

My Plan is Monday, Wed, Fri Weights Followed by some cardio
Tue and Thurs, Cardio and Sunday pound the pavement.

My food through the week was also good, lots of protien, tuna, chicken, turkey. And of course a minimum of 5 fruit and veg, I think I eat roughly 8 a day. The weekend not so great, especially sunday, I had a nice 16oz Steak and Chips, took my partner and her mum out for mothers day and just couldn’t say no to a big steak :)

On to my weights. I thought the steak might have effected my weight this morning, but it was good.

Weight: 166lbs (-2)
BMI: 24.5 (-0.3)

All in all a great week, looking forward to the next.

Guess who's back, back again

Hi all

Been a while again lol.

If you read my posts you’ll know 2 weeks ago I was stuck on what I wanted to do, build mass or lose weight.

I’ve decided on lose weight. Took me a while to decide but since I’m off on holiday in just under 12 weeks I wanted to lose the extra pounds before building mass.

I joined a gym on friday, and now the weathers getting warmer and the evenings are getting lighter I’ve taken up golfing again.

The gym is good, not big but it wasn’t busy this morning at 8:30 which I like. Another bonus is the heart monitor I bought for running links up with the machines so it saves me holding on to the bars to see where my heart rate is.

Expect long weekly updates from me again :)

To let you know where I am at the moment

12 Stone on the dot (168lbs) over the last few proberbly 6 maintenance weeks my weight has stayed in this area, droping or going up a few pounds. Which I like, since I have eaten quite alot of curries and chinese :)
BMI: 24.8

My Target
11 Stone (154lbs)
BMI 22.7

Getting excited now. I’ve finally set a goal, which seams to be extremely important for me. Without it I tend to stick where I am.

Good luck to 1 and all.

Not updated for a while

Quick update

Weight: 165lbs
BMI: 24.4

I haven’t really been trying over the last 3 weeks. I’m stuck on what my overall goals want to be. I’m happy with my weight but I’m not happy with the fat I have left, if that makes sense.

Let me put it another way haha. I like been the size I am I don’t want to be skinny I want to be healthy. I want to lose the body fat and gain some muscle mass. But I don’t know which I want to do first :).

So becuase I can’t decide I have not done anything. The only advantage to this is, I haven’t done exercise and I haven’t dieted (ie. watched what I’ve eated, I’ve pretty much eaten what I wanted) and I have hovered just under 12 stone, this is great news for when I go on my maintanence, as I know I can keep it off once I have it off.

So my main problem is that I haven’t set my new goals, maybe I should think about that for a while and write down my actual aims on here.

Good luck all

I passed

Had my exam this morning 16th Feb 2007. Passed with 9 Minors and obviously no majors.

My minors were
1- Turn in the Road (Control)
1- Control (Footbrake)
2- Move Off (Safety) She told me one of these was because I signaled and there was no traffic for me to tell I was moving out, Go figure.
1 – Use of Mirrors (Signalling)
1- Use of Mirrors (Change Direction)
1 – Signals (Correctly)
1 – Progress (Appropriate Speed)
1 – Positioning (Normal Driving)

So I passed and hopefully I’ll never have to do it again lol

Good luck to everyone else.

I'm back

Some people might thing I’m crazy for writing this, lol.

I have to go back on my diet.

I just can’t bear to eat all the food that I need to bulk. Last week I tried for a few days to consume in healthy meals the required 2800 cals (to be honest I don’t think this was enough but that was my aim). It was really hard and going from roughly 1700 cals to that it seamed like a huge jump. I ended up eating takeaways and not even liking them.

I have decided to go back on my diet with the aim of reducing my Body Fat % instead of the bmi been my goal I’m aiming for less than 20% body fat. I’m aiming to eat 2000 cals a day and 1 hour of cycling a day.

From my calculations I need to be 155lbs to get to 20% BF and 22.9 on the BMI chart.

I think I’m fit enough now to go for 1 hour a day. So hell thats what I’m going for and really blast this body of mine.

The reason I choose cycling is for the low impact, I don’t like the idea of running for a hour everyday.

So welcome me back. You’ve got me boring you with my long posts for a while yet lol.

stop smoking (read all 15 entries…)
It's official

12 Weeks or 3 months to the day since I stopped smoking.

This is what I would call the official stopped smoking time.

In the 12 weeks I have smoked 2 cigs. 1 when I was drunk as a skunk which doesn’t happen often and 1 when I went fishing.

The cig when I was drunk tasted great, the one when I was fishing tasted like a ash tray, and just reminded me why I stopped in the first place.

So all in all £365.40 saved and I haven’t smoked 1678 cigs.

1678 that sounds crazy… in just 12 weeks. I dread to think what I have done to my lungs over the past 14 years of smoking.

I’m so happy I have stopped, the feeling of not been tied down to smoking is great.

I wish everyone else luck in stopping smoking it really is the best thing you can do. I know longer crave cigs, they very rarely enter into my thoughts anymore. Only at odd times and then it’s forgotten.

Her passport photo

Took Megan to get her passport photo taken and she would not sit down or still for any longer than 3 seconds, let alone sitting down and looking at the camera.

We have a little screaming and some NO NO NO NO NO and then just before the picture flashes she sits down and looks at the screen and has a normal face. Whaooo victory :)

Shes 19 months now, but I think this picture makes he look like a proper little girl.

Think I'm done with this goal

First I’ll put up my weight 166lbs giving me a BMI of 24.5.

My only problem now is I’m starting to feel a little skinny haha, I’m not thin but I don’t want to look skinny I want to look healthy.

So from this week I’m starting on my bulking phase to add some muscle mass. The bulk should last roughly 10 weeks in which time I hope to put on at least 10lb of muscle. Then obviously I need to lose any fat I put on at the same time. So I’ll go on a weight loss diet until my holiday.

That gives me 10 weeks to bulk and 8 weeks to lose some fat.

I think I have got what I need from this goal. From where I started to where I am now is really quite amazing.

I would like to thank everyone who ever cheered me, anyone who left a comment. Or any one who ever read one of my posts. Having somewhere to put down my thoughts and progress really helped me keep on track.

So thanks to everyone and good luck in pursuing your goals.

My final weights from where I started to now. MY first post on this goal was exactly 20 weeks ago.

Weight
Now : 166
Then : 191
Total : -25lbs (1.25 per week)

BMI
Now : 24.5
Then : 28.2
Total : -3.7

Thanks again Micky

With my new job I get way too much email, I wish it would just stop now. What was I thinking when I added this stupid goal.

sell my house (read all 5 entries…)
Filled out my solicitors documents

I hate filling forms out and this was a massive thing.

Some of the questions it asks when you fill the section about what you are leaving behind are strange. For example Light Bulbs, light fittings (As in the entire light)

Do some people actually just take down their lights and leave the wire hanging down? I can understand if you have expensive lights or lights your perticularly like you would want to take them with you, but you would think you would at least put in some cheap 99p job from B&Q

Any ways was up to 12:45am filling the thing out, can’t wait to move and get in my new house.

exercise more
Done it

Didn’t even realise I ahd this goal lol.

I completed this while I was trying to get my BMI under 25. Which is done now 25.0 exactly :)

My exercise at the moment

Monday: Weights
Tuesday: Cardio (running or bike maybe HIIT) and Yoga
Wednesday: Weights
Thursday: Cardio (running or bike maybe HIIT) and Yoga
Friday: Weights
Sat: Rest
Sun: 4 Mile run

Donate blood
Question for ya

I do a lot of exercise at the moment. Will giving blood effect my ability to exercise the next day? or the next? If it will, do you know how long I can expect to wait until I feel ready for exercise.

I’m 5’ 9 and 169lbs

I think I really should do this one but I don’t really want it to effect my losing weight and getting fit goals.

Any advice?

Had my Lesson, Theory Test Tommorow

Had my first lesson this morning. 1hr 30mins. It went great, I’m not worried about the normal driving part as I drove under my girlfriends insurance with her for about a year so I can drive. I just needed practice on driving “properly” and my manovers, the instrutor said I was good and shouldn’t have a problem passing my practical test.

Provided I pass my thoery test tomorow I’ll book my practical test tommorow too.

Wish me luck. I’ve been studying it’s like been back at collage :)

Yay I've done it =)

Woke up this morning quite excited about weighing myself.

Why?

Because saturday I was 168lbs and sunday I was 169lbs.

Which means if I can just weight 169lbs or less I’ve just squeezed into the healthy range.

So I woke up got naked (Too much information? lol) and walked to the scales, whaoooooo 169lbs. BMI 25.0

Yay me :)
