I’m the oldest of two children. I realize now that I left for college that I’ve had a bad relationship with my little brother all my life and it is more than partly my fault, but I don’t want to lose him. I need to start to try to heal this relationship and I hope he is willing to work with me on this. Still, I worry it’s too late and too much damage has been done.

I meant to plant a garden in the spring in window boxes on my deck (we have deer that eat all the plants on the ground). Then prom came up and SATs and AP tests and finals and graduation, and I never really got around to it. Now, I’m thinking about trying to grow some plants inside in my study for the fall. I was thinking possibly lavender, which I think I heard does well inside. I’ll keep you posted on my gardening successes and failures.
I recently took some Pen and Ink Drawing class. It’s an excellent medium. It’s fairly easy to pick up and you don’t have to cart massive amounts of art supplies around with you: just a sketchbook and pens. The techniques are really straightforward, too.
Just used my newfound skills sketching the beach on vacation. The drawings are great souvenirs!
