I gave up three years ago. Now I’ve started again. I found an excellent local teacher and spent far too much money on a PRS SE Soapbar II Maple. I also got a bargain on a used Blackstar HT-5 on eBay.

I have applied to two intentional communities in Wales. I will be visiting them in the next couple of months. If all goes well, I hope to be joining one of them by spring 2009. Both are housing co-operatives (a UK concept) who grow a lot of food, minimise car use, care for the land and live the “good life”. Sounds wonderful.
I have been living in a housing co-op in rural south Wales for nine months now. Last winter was exceptionally cold and was pretty tough. All in all, though, life is wonderful here.
I took four years off to go to art college. I’ve just about finished my Ba (hons) Fine Art. Now I need to go back to work if I am to eat regularly. I thought it would be easy. Turns out it isn’t. I have 20+ years software development experience and can’t even get an interview as I don’t have current commercial experience. Looks like I will have to do something else to make ends meet. Trouble is, I have no other marketable skills so I am likely to end up doing something boring and poorly paid.
