I think I’m progressing slightly with this goal. Problem is, I’m still putting off doing one or two important things that I really can’t afford to ignore.
I’ve even been making “To Do” lists and checking things off as I do them (yeah, like on here, but really boring stuff like “pick up milk from the store”) Sure enough I get the minor things done and checked, but the important one has yet to be finished.
My mini-sub goal for this goal is that by tomorrow, I will have at least started on these 2 tasks.

I think I’ve started to realize that spending extra money on things I don’t really need, but that give me or others joy or pleasure, isn’t really “wasting” it. Truly wasting cash is when there’s no benefit or even negative results from it… or even when the negative outweighs any positive ends.
I love rgibson’s quote “do you REALLY need it?” because it can mean both “do you really need the item you’re spending money on” OR “do you really need that extra cash? Is it benefiting you in any way?”
I think I am throwing less money away, though I certainly still find myself sometimes spending cash on things others might consider a waste. I am changing my attitude, though, and in that I think I accomplished what I wanted from this goal.

I forgot this was even on my list and didn’t add it when I got a new apartment 3 months ago.
Oh well, I’m VERY glad I did it, though it did take a lot of pushing and prodding by friends and family to get me started. ;)
