No actual physical progress, but a lot of mental work has been done - 209 lbs 1 year ago

I was down to 192 and lost ground when my Mom was diagnosed with Cancer this summer. I am recovering now and need to get back up on my horse and keep moving forward.

Now I just need to put the discipline in. I will work to interrupt and use alternate methods to diffuse the desire to over eat when emotional.

I will also attempt to do my slim in six video as directed 5 days a week. Let’s see how I do.

Shame: Stopping the legacy, so it is not passed it on to our children 1 year ago

I have been working with my husband in therapy for a year and a half with respect to toxic shame so can try not to pass this on to our children.

This is very worthwhile and the book that was of most use to me recommended by my therapist is: Thanks to http://www.soulselfhelp.on.ca/tshame.html web site for great capsule summaries from the book.

Toxic Shame

FROM JOHN BRADSHAW’S BOOK:

“HEALING THE SHAME THAT BINDS YOU

“SHAME AS THE SOURCE OF SPIRITUALITY
Abraham Maslow, the pioneering Third Force Psychologist, once wrote,
full human nature”
expansion and growth. It is about love, truth, goodness, beauty, giving and caring. Spirituality is about
wholeness and completion. Spirituality is our ultimate human need. It pushes us to transcend ourselves, and to become grounded in the ultimate source of reality. Most call that source God.

From--"The Farther Reaches of Human Nature"
"What is spirituality? I believe it has to do with our lifestyle. I believe that life is ever unfolding and growing. So spirituality is about

take my kids to Disneyworld
We are aiming for October 2007 2 years ago

My husband’s boss mentioned a conference at Disney this October and we are going to try and do a double duty thing.

There was not much info about exactly where the conference was on the property at that time we have to check up on that. And we have to see how we can collect enough air miles for the rest of us to go by plane.

Yeah! We got this done. It was a great trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the lack of ultra gouging for items within the Parks, but found that reservations not just for Character meals – opportunities for your kids to meet the characters ‘the flesh and take pix with them at their restaurant table are a must to book at least one month in advance in the off season.’ Loved everything about Coronado Springs hotel except the basic restaurant concept which will soon be upgraded.

My 4-year old was a little bummed out that there were so many coasters she was too physically small for, and since my 7 year old was a fearless coaster fiend, – go figure as she is a slip of thing – We plan to go back in three years when my younger girl is 7.
