I can think of nothing that would give me more peace, happiness and joy than knowing that my family was proud of me. I’d be especially thrilled to know that my son feels that way about me. I think that often we lose sight of the importance of inspiring our children and setting a good example for them. Knowing that my son is proud of me, my achievements, my attitude…… there are few things in the world I treasure more. I hope to always keep that in mind and it’s a goal that keeps me motivated every day to do the best I can.

I had no idea

I was doing some dressmaking the other day for a friend and while I had the tape measure out I decided to measure my own waist 24 inches. What? Hang on…that can’t be right. Isn’t 24 inches considered pretty small? I’m not absurdly small. In fact I think of myself as pretty curvy. Measured again. 24 inches again. So I have a 24inch waist but I also have a 10DD bust and my Mum’s hips so I am well balanced and unlikely to topple over or snap in half. 24 inches looks absurd on some people but pretty standard on others. Like any measurement/weight it depends on the whole package as to whether it is some sort of odd ‘achievement’ or just genetics.
