Woo… I haven’t updated in a LONG while, but I can definitely say that I have been making a lot of progress with this goal. Much of my progress has been due to my wonderful and amazing boyfriend. Thanks to his support and love, I’ve learned to have faith and trust again. My fears of abandonment aren’t entirely gone, but every day I get better at overcoming them.
Safe to say this goal has accomplished itself. It feels soooo good to be over him. My advice for people looking to get over their ex? Initiate or maintain no contact with ex until you learn that it really does no good to try to even scores with him/her, and get involved in your most passionate activities. Do things that your heart tells you to do. I followed my heart and lo and behold it sat me next to a really attractive guy whose interest in me has been a major turning point in my life. His attraction to me came as a revelation—I just didn’t believe I was worth any guy’s attention after my ex dumped me for a duller girl. Whether or not this new guy stays in my life or goes, I’ll always be thankful that I met him.
