A week ago I finally decided that I want to quit smoking. FOR GOOD!
I’ve been a smoker for almost 5 years (since I was about 15 years old) and I know it’s a horrible habit. I not only worry about my own health, but that of my mom’s and my sister’s (both who are not smokers). I would never be able to forgive myself if they ended up paying the price for my mistake.
I’ve actually been doing fairly well, thus far. I’ve dwindled down to about 1 cigarette a day (though sometimes I slip up and have 2), which is a great improvement from my half-a-pack-a-day.
I’ve tried to quit three times before, and it never stuck, but I am DETERMINED to never smoke again!!!

How I did it: knittinghelp.com was my saving grace! I started out by trying to learn from this one book, but it was so confusing! I found this website, and the girl who does it is amazing! She explains everything so well, and in no time I had it down.I'm still working on my first scarf, but I'm feeling more comfortable with my skills and can't wait to move on to more fun projects! :D Read how I did it…
I began by making a layered necklace. It’s actually my favorite piece of jewelery that I own, and I have received many complements!
I also made two pairs of earrings.
It actually wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. I didn’t have any help from anyone. I decided on what styles of jewelery I wanted and just figured out what to do on my own.
I had a lot of fun in the process, and will surely continue to make my own jewelery!
