Trainning for a marathon was a natural transition after coming off my triathlon trainning over the summer. I had the endurance and so I worked on my speed. The distance of the run and the run itself was not difficult and luckly I did not experience any periods of extreme exhaustion. The hard part was afterwards, I felt fine and the soreness in my legs was pretty much gone after day 3. Internally, I think my body took a bigger beating than I realized. I lost a lot of weight and my body fat dropped, I experienced break-through bleeding and my period was barely existant. I am recovered now, but I have to admit that I was scared. Sometimes you don’t realize how much you are demanding of your body. I love my body more now because I see how strong and resiliant it is. I don’t want to take my body for granted.

how could I not be making the most. I am constantly doing things to make myself better, to have fun and sometimes doing things that are not so loving to myself. I always worry about not doing enough, as if there is an imaginary list of things one should do before they turn 30yrs old. There is not of course and you do what you can and hope that you can forgive yourself for the mistakes you have made.
