I pulled out one of my mom’s old fitness videos and started going along. It was a good hour long workout, way more than I am used to. The sad thing is that the video was supposed to be low intensity, but I thought it was pretty intense. I figure if I do this once a week along with some other videos I can go to medium intensity by the end of May.
I have a plan for cardio and strength training every day, the problem is sticking with it. I do enjoy the day more after excercise, but finding time is hard. I don’t need to be incredibly strong or lean, I just want to be able to do the things I need to, like moving hay bales. I don’t ever want to not do something because I’m not in shape, or embarassed. It just isn’t worth it.

I went to our state convention Thursday and Friday of last week. It was fantastic, I got to catch up with some old friends and make a few new ones.
I was a part of Courtesy Corps, which basically means I was working and making sure people got where they needed to be. It was a great way to meet new people, and a friend of mine from my chapter and I decided we want to try doing it at National Convention in October. I can hardly wait!!

I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian since I was little. Recently, though(sophomore in high school) I have been looking into plant sciences. I’m really interested in genetics and like that it would be a job with fairly regular hours.
However, I live on a farm with livestock only and know very little about farming itself. I like working with animals and vetting our llamas, being squeamish is not a problem.
I’m not worried about grades or any particular classes, both careers seem made for me and I just can’t decide which one. I don’t know a whole lot about job oppurtunities in the plant sciences, but I’m starting to research. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
