Having used up holiday tokens on a trip to Thailand in easter we are faced with the prospect of holidaying in Scotland in Summer.
Where do we go? What do we do? Will it be good? Can I appreciate my own country as much as the millions who visit it from abroad do every year?
What a challenge! Would love to know what recommendations non- scots have for enjoying Scotland….
I’ve been to three Carnivals in my life. First ro when i was thirteen, once to Cologne when i was nineteen (don’t bother- it’s rubbish) and one to Notting Hill (okay but not with kids, too hectic).
If you ever get the chance to go to Rio Carnival then do it, but don’t go when you are thirteen like me (we lived there)- it’s an adult thing. Wish i could back now and appreciate it more.
If you love Samba then go and dance all week!
