#51 - Wonderwall - Oasis

Today is gonna be the day
That they’re gonna throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now

Back beat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I’m sure you’ve heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don’t know how

Because maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you’re my wonderwall

Today was gonna be the day
But they’ll never throw it back to you
By now you should’ve somehow
Realized what you’re not to do
I don’t believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now

And all the roads that lead you there are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don’t know how

[Repeat x2]
I said maybe, you’re gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you’re my wonderwall

The day that I left home this song played on a loop 23 times – I don’t know if the DJ feel asleep, smoked a bowl, or what… but still to this day I think there was a reason that it did. For me it had a profound impact… my own little piece to the soundtrack of my life.

I'm on my way...

I’ve got a small portfolio started doing transcription and writing. I have decided to go back to school for web design.

I have tried once or twice in the past to do this, but this is the first time I can say I feel that I am on my way. I think a big part of it is being reasonable in the goal. In the past I have gone towards this goal thinking it should be done and set within a certain time… and if I have learned anything so far, it’s that this isn’t going to happen overnight and it isn’t going to happen if I take breaks from it. I have been trucking along at this for more than 6 months now and it’s happening and I’m dedicated to staying with it. No more taking breaks and going back into the ‘professional world’. There’s no place for me there because there is no desire to be there. It’s not about the money. Life’s too short. I’m going to invest in being happy and secure.

#50 (Hafway there! Yipee!) Pardon Me - Incubus

Pardon me while I burst…

A decade ago,
I never thought I would be,
at twenty-three, on the verge of
spontaneous combustion. Woe-is-me.
But I guess that it comes
with the territory,
An ominous landscape of
never-ending calamity.
I need you to hear,
I need you to see
that I have had all I can take and
exploding seems like an imminent possibility
to me.

So pardon me while I burst
into flames.
I’ve had enough of the world
and its people’s mindless games.
So pardon me while I burn
and rise above the flame.
Pardon me, pardon me…
I’ll never be the same!

Not two days ago,
I was having a look
in a book
and I saw a picture of a guy
fried up above his knee.
I said, “I can relate,”
cause lately I’ve been thinking of combustication
as a welcome vacation from
the burdens of
the planet Earth.
like gravity, hypocrisy,
and the perils of being in 3D
but thinking so much differently.

Pardon me while I burst
into flames.
I’ve had enough of the world
and its people’s mindless games.
So pardon me while I burn
and rise above the flame.
Pardon me, pardon me…
I’ll never be the same!

Never be the same, yeah…
Pardon me, while I burst into flames…
Pardon me, pardon me, pardon me.

So pardon me while I burst
into flames.
I’ve had enough of the world
and its people’s mindless games.
So pardon me while I burn
and rise above the flame.
Pardon me, pardon me…
I’ll never be the same!

Never be the same, yeahh!!
