Purchase a used pickup truck (read all 2 entries…)
so close yet so far away... 6 months ago

So I think I found the truck. Its a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT. The asking price is fairly reasonable (compared to retail price for a truck of similar mileage, with similar features, according to Edmunds and other sources like Kelly Blue Book). But I need to put more down in order to make the loan palatable. About twice as much as I have now. I’ve spread the news to family (with the hopes they might chip in and I can pay them back). I also have some side jobs cooking – Ebay, home call center PT work, housecleaning on weekends. Please wish me luck! I have to meet my goal by the end of the month (that’s how long the dealership is holding the truck for me after the deposit).
Thanks !
