When I was in the DC area for the inauguration I had dinner w/my sisters. We have always had difficult relationships, for myriad reasons I won’t go into here.
Dinner was great, and we actually discussed some of the issues that had kept us angry at one another… hearing their viewpoints, and them listening to mine, was amazing! And we actually all agreed to let go of the past BS & act like adults for a refreshing change of pace!
After this, I called my brothers & other sister in Spain and did the same thing w/them… it’s really great!
This is quite a freeing experience ~ I highly recommend it! Our ages were a factor… I don’t want anything left undone…

How I did it: I planned well in advance, and was willing to do whatever it took to make it happen. The plane trip itself was a Christmas gift. I took a week off of school (but brought my textbooks w/me) so I didn't miss much back home. I used public transpo for the first time in years... I was willing to live on peanut butter and jelly for a week! In other words, I was willing to do whatever it would take to make the trip possible! IT WAS COMPLETELY WO… Read how I did it…
We separated on friendly terms in 2000, and finally, through a great deal of persistence (and online search engines) I tracked him down last summer! We talked for the first time in years ~ he’s doing very well, as am I. So… we are getting divorced when we get around to it; it’s more expensive than we had expected!
More to come later…...
I would sign up for this school in a heartbeat ~ I’m a 52-year-old BSW student at a Florida university, hoping to effect change in mental health treatment once I get my degree. In researching scholarships/grants/schools I have seen several schools (unaccredited, I believe) such as this.
But think about this ~ it wasn’t that long ago that online degrees were not considered “real” by established institutions and now they are a valued educational option. Your school will probably end up being just as reputable and accepted eventually. With patience comes change!
Good luck & send me an application when you’ve got it rolling!
