after years of frustration, i’ve recently found myself to be occasionally able to silence the inner voice (technically known as subvocalization) when reading. this is really the key to faster reading. now i need to master this practice.

i’ve been on and off with my studies recently but it seems i’m well on my way towards my goal of 750+
i did a practice test on gmatprep couple of days ago and scored 720 under less than ideal conditions. i’m confident that with a month’s hard work i can add 30/40 more points to this score.
with a scaled score of 48, my quant seems good. still i’ve pinpointed my weaknesses in a few areas, since i don’t want to leave anything to chance. waiting for the mgmat books to arrive from bn. hope they’ll help.
verbal was 40, and i’m not happy with it. this is really the section which can take my score over the top to some unthinkable place. i consider this my forte, and i’ll not be satisfied with anything less than 46.
i haven’t studied as regularly as i wanted. in brief, i didn’t stick to the study plan i had developed.
so far, i’ve done this -
all PS, DS and SC, and some CR in OG11
studied some math concepts on and off
all PS in Kaplan Premier
i need to redo my study plan based on my progress. considering i have only 7 weeks of prep time available, it’s absolutely necessary that i study, on average, 2 hours on each workday and 9 hours on each weekend day.
i need to brush up on these math concepts -
a. probability
b. permutations/combinations
c. absolute value of variables
d. inequalities
e. number properties
f. sets/groups
i want to take 6 prep tests under real test conditions
i want to review all OG answer explanations
i want to go through Kaplan 800
