1) My BP got treacherously out of whack week before last. I measured it exactly 2 weeks ago and it was 213/135, deadly high. Of course my thought stream went into high gear and visualizations of anything from; a massive heart attack to being wheelchair bound with low mobility, losing my ability to play music, a will would be nice, being poor on social security, etc…... I started self medicating with an old BP medicine I know works although it also messes up some of my blood screen numbers…. and went to the doctor…. Now he has put me on 3 medications and the combo is working well for my BP….. new problem is intestinal gas…. yuck. Trying to solve it.. don;t know what to do.
2) work is ramping to a climax. big review in a couple of weeks. materials prepped and in for review…. tons of work.
3) My Monday night music finally got an uptick. An old friend has come back into my life and commits to accompanying me to go down to the open mic…. finally I’ll have a close acquaintance to hang out with.
4) son-in-law got laid off, right here at Christmas.

I am conscious of the fact I am capable of petty thoughts and behavior, but I am keeping it zipped inside any more, rather than spilling my poison. How I did it: Used them all. Every one of them created problems in my life that weren't there before and that I couldn't live with.1) Teenage druggie.... got way out of hand quick....2) First adult job was a really good one. I quit it after six years. I escaped. It created instant economic insecurity. I couldn't get an equal job for 5 years. I shouldn't have escaped, but I felt so trapped.3) started fishing, thought I would be able to make money.... fi… Read how I did it…
How I did it: The single biggest thing that led me out of the dark was getting to know God, for the first time in my life. I always believed in God, but I had no idea how to have God working in my life. I found out, once I became aware of what God was already doing for me and how helpful He is if I just ask for His help and then watch for the effects of His help.... Today I am the most adundantly blessed man I know... I can see it now. I can just look … Read how I did it…

Started with the gusto of a downhill run…... feels like it’s all uphill now, though.
1) to have my job, even though I have issues with it. They are my issues. The job is worthwhile.
2) to my AA Group, collectively. Lots of very nice folks, many of whom have helped me over the past two years.
3) to God
4) to my doctor, for trying his best to keep me alive and healthy.
