Before you start say to yourself, do you want to be addicted?
Yes? good!
How about for start you goto www.bombingscience.com, bite everything off there, copy tags and throwies, do it like theres no tommorrow, then when youve done around a blackbook (steal a school exercise book) start doing your own stuff, dont put crowns above your stuff or use arrows, you will get crossed, where i live its genereally accepted to cross anyone that does these
Height looks good on a throwie, because if the height and width are the same or it is wider it looks wierd
Never use spray for tags unless your signing a piece or a throwie with 2 letters (if your name is long)
Use paint pens for tags, the thicker the better (within reason, a friend has a 3 inch wide paint pen and nowhere has enough room for it)
Make a name up that isnt used, google ‘[name] graffiti’ and check vandalsquad.com for the name, if the guy using it sucks, have it anyway
Although hope has a very nice style going down, i understand most people wont wanna wait so long to start bombing, so focus on your tag, nothing too fancy, when you got your tag down do that, then work on throwies (throw ups if nobody gets me)
Dont join a crew unless its decent, im in a sort of war with a crew on my own, and im taking all their stuff down, if you ever end up in that situation, think of a way to turn their throwies to say yours, saves you paint ;D

Hints N Tips:
Never bomb (graffiti) a wet surface, it will smudge and drip beyond the point of coolness
Drips on a tag are good, as long as its readable
Dont do pieces until youve done enough throwies to give you decent can control
If you cant afford paint or steal it, do ghetto fills (not a complete fill, just rough) or just do outlines
Dont go over anyone
Throwies can go over tags
Understand there will always be someone better when your starting out
Dont tell everyone what your tag is or make it known on the internet, police HAVE caught people using myspace etc
Dont befriend anybody that will grass you up
Dont overuse the slang
Use fat caps for fills and skinnys for outlines, use both for tags depending on the effect you want

Should the police ever see you, you need to be faster than them, when they say STOP or FREEZE that means run or when i catch you mr nightstick will beat you, fences are wonderful if you can climb them, the cops gear and belts weigh them down and make it harder to climb, if they have a cop car, use tight alleys and fences
