I’ve got the money. No, I never did sell my things on eBay, but my literary lovin’ aunt sent me a birthday present! Woohoo. Now I’m sending the money to the library. Okay, envelope, address, stamp, postal receptacle… big smiles

Pay Fees at Library (read all 2 entries…)

Is this even me? 4 years ago

I can’t believe that I don’t have a working library card. Me. I love books and I love reading books and I like the library (did that sound slightly qualified? mmm.)

I have memorized my 14 digit bar code.

How could I not be allowed to check out books?

[sighs]

Twenty-six books, over a month late… [chuhching] That’ll be $87 and all of your respect.

Isn’t it sad when Blockbuster shows more forgiveness and less care about the money that your local “public” library.

I know, I know. Just pay the money.

... yes, but, you see, the thing is, I can’t ever seem to justify taking that money and paying off my library fine. Well, I haven’t in the past FOUR YEARS. It’s not like it’s a NECESSITY of life, like the electric bill, or [gasp] the cable. hrmph. Wow, that makes me think. We definitely need to fix this.

SO, I think I will sell on eBay that big pile of clothes I don’t wear, that are overflowing a plastic tote in the living room. Ninety dollars shouldn’t be tooooooo hard to get.

Okay, let’s see

1)  take pictures of the stuff
2)  put the pictures on the computer
3)  list the items
4)  wait [insert Jeopardy song]
5)  mail the items
6)  get the money
7)  pay the fine

Oooooh…. My first goal with plan! WOOHOO.
