Tried twice, the last time, I got there after the author went home. So, I ended up just buying an autographed book.
But I’m GOING to do it this year, I know it!!

There are those who say Swiffer dusters are landfill fodder, and I have to admit I bought one. I like using them, mainly because I hate washing, which is of course the problem with using lookalike cloth dusters. Unlike a homeowner, I am an apartment dweller who has to physically walk to an on-site laundry center to do any washing, and I have to do it before 10pm and after 8am. Second problem with using the cloth dusters, cute though they may be, is that they get filthy quickly before you’re done dusting, and so you must stop dusting, wash your duster, and wait for it to dry (takes hours on the drying rack). This is a workflow KILLER. So the Swiffer duster is the expedient solution.
But the refills are EXPENSIVE. So I’m going to try a new idea: a package of cloth diapers that women hate because they’re too much work – and too nasty – to mess with could be the answer. Having so many means I wouldn’t have to stop and wash, they are soft enough to not damage my furniture and electronics, and they wouldn’t have to get 100% clean in order for me to reuse them. I could continue to wash every other week as usual.
I love brainstorming like this! I shall go to Wal-Mart’s baby section to see if they even carry cloth diapers…
It’s great when my favorite authors come to town, but I can never get off work to go support them. I want to do this more.
