The original goal was to save 3 months of living expenses in an emergency fund – that was before the events such as Lehman Brothers collapsing and the Dow Jones plummeting 777 points in one day. The revised goal is to have about 10 and half months saved ($10,000) for emergencies only. After numerous lifestyle changes such as moving back to my parents house, becoming obsessed with living frugally, and recently taking on a second job I am about half way there. The plan is to save 50% of my income until I reach that magical number.

I know my life is very hectic and busy right now but the very least I could is take a few minutes out of everyday and talk to God. I seem to “make” time for everything else why not God Almighty.
