I got promoted to Cadet Sergeant! (Australian Army Cadets) Nothing as outstanding as achieving sergeant in the real military, but I’m proud. Love the job I have now too. Top stuff!

How I did it: I applied to the International Army Cadet Exchange program which my country's Army Cadet force is involved with. Wrote an application form, sent it all the way through my chain of command to the top and got chosen from the cadets of the nation. Thankyou sir! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Went swimming at an outside pool one evening in summer with a handful of friends. We were just absently swimming around and talking until we realised it was dark and the stars were out. We stayed even longer afterwards because there was a breeze and it was cold to get out... Read how I did it…
Yay as! I recieved a phone call last night to tell me that my application had been successful and I’m going to the UK for exchange! It’s a short 3 week inter-service Army Cadet thing, doing awesome bush-bashing and fun challenging stuff, as I understand. AWESOME AS. Goodluck to all you other exchange hopefuls! There is success out there ;D
Okay, so it turned out the deadline for applications was moved forward a few weeks. But I came through and did an application I’m proud of, and I’ve posted it away. I’ve got Norway, UK and then Germany as my Top 3.
I’ve got a few weeks to wait now while it goes through various selection panels and they cull down the numbers to the final people that will get to go – all hope is pinned on that I won’t be one of those weeded out.
Wish me luck :D
xx T
