It took me so long to realize that the relationship I was in was bad. He wanted me to be someone else. I can only be me and I only want to be me. I want to find someone who isn’t perfect, but who is perfect for me, because I know that he is out there.

Every time I think I might be happy, something happens to remind me that I may always be that person standing in the doorway, watching everyone I know be happy. And I’ll never get to feel what it’s like.
