I think that we are taught at a very young age that if we have confidence then we’re arrogant. As you go through school, all the beatings to the ego we get undermines the one thing that our parents taught us: that we are worth while humans. The first time you get called a nerd, or a teacher says put you hand down, or kids laugh at you ‘cause your clothes aren’t cool…all things things are just another step to loss of belief that we are ok being different. I’m not going to do this anymore. I want to believe in me, I need to believe in me.
