Maybe I should be paying for instruction but I’m a miser. I’m learning the traditional short form as outlined in The Tai Chi Directory by Kim Davies. I’ve been working on the first 4 steps/forms for about 2 weeks and added the 5th today. I add a new step/form every few days, but not until I’ve pseudo-mastered the previous one.

How I did it: I set a goal for myself to learn one new way each month that I could cut my carbon footprint. Sometimes I learned 5 things or more. How I did it: I took my kids and they shamed me into getting up and trying over and over. All the advice my partner gave was generic and didn't help so I won't repeat it. Finally, I went off on my own so I wouldn't slow anyone else down and slowly, surely, after much sucking snow, I became adequate at skiing.
