“Who am I? Well, isn’t that a question for the ages? Since many of you are trying to come up with a name for me, I thought that I’d at least tell you a little (ha ha) about who I am.

I am a male of European decent. I am 30 something or so and live in an urban area. I’m an Aries. Blond hair, green eyes, ten fingers, ten toes.

Socially, I like hanging out with people at loud parties, and I go crazy on the dance floor. That being said, I’m pretty shy one-on-one. I really wish I was better meeting strangers (and maybe even “hooking up.”)

Favorite food: Cake. I’ve been digging green tea too, but I’m stuck up about what kind I will drink. Speaking of food, I have been a vegan for over ten years, mostly for ethical reasons. I’m damn good in the kitchen too, thank you very much.

Drug of choice: These days, it’s the Brandy Manhattan. It was my mother’s favorite drink, as well as her mother’s, so you could say that I’m exploring my maternal side. (They weren’t abusers, thank goodness, and neither am I.) My second choice is the reefer, but I tend not to use it unless its free.

Sexual preference(s): I like the ladies, but it’s probably most correct to call me pan-sexual. I’m in a committed partnership with a fine woman, and we’re both exploring non-monogamy. (The responsible/ethical kind.) We’re meeting all sorts of cool people, and we thoroughly enjoy all of the crushes, kissing, cuddling, etc., that’s come as a result. I’m not much of a kinkster, but I’m totally GGG. (Ask if you don’t know what that means.)

Other things worth mentioning:
+ Relative to the rest of the U.S., I have pretty radical political views. I’m a small-G green, and I consider myself an independent voter.
+ I am a geek, and a lover of other geeks. My favorite magazine is Make. My current interest is amateur radio and storm spotting. Someday, I want to be a professional inventor.
+ I planted my first garden this year. I dream of growing all of my own food, but I’m not sure how to make that happen.
+ My favorite podcasts are Democracy Now!, the Dan Savage Lovecast, and Jetstreaming from MPR.
+ I watch TV series on DVD. I’m currently watching Battlestar Galactica. The last one was The West Wing. Not sure yet what’s next.
+ I don’t spend a lot of time online, and that includes 43 Things. I may read some fine posts, but I will be slow to respond. (This profile, and my “name-me contest” post, was the most I’ve written in a long time.)”
