I never fully appreciated having a clean living area until I moved into my first apartment. You take so much more pride in something you feel you’ve worked for, and in hindsight I wish I had treated my bedroom at my parent’s house with the same respect. My family didn’t deserve to deal with my mess that usually spread beyond the threshold of my bedroom, but they’re proud of me now for taking care of things. And I’m happy that, somewhere between the eye-rolling and sighing, I did listen to my folks.

My mother and I did a two week long road trip together and it was the most fun I could ever have imagined having. My spring break plans had fallen through and she decided to do this with me. I would not have had so much fun if I had gone alone. Definately worth doing, and do it with someone you love!

Whatever you do, however you decide to shed those extra pounds, do it safely. Do it in a way that does not stress your body or self-image negatively. Don’t ever put yourself down or think that you are beyond help, because if you do, you won’t ever reach your goal.
