I’ve been asked many times to photograph events, but I never know what to charge. So, usually I don’t. But, I can no longer afford not to charge. There’s a family of 6 waiting for my reply, so I’m going to have a standard list printed up on cute paper with examples of my work…ready for the next person who asks…but what should I charge?!

I found a book specifically for this on Amazon.com that was really cute. So, it made it a lot easier to get organized. My recipe book contains only recipes that I have tried and that someone else has given their “ok” to.
I did finally move out…but the situation I moved into isn’t any better. I basically adopted 3 grown children! Don’t get me wrong, I love them all to pieces, but this is not what I was going for. Independance was the goal, not in charge. So, here I am again, still searching and contemplating. I am working everyday toward this goal, but I just don’t know what to do and how to do it without hurting my current roomates’ feelings.
I dream of a large loft apartment in a city, overlooking a neat niche of the town. Friendly neighbors, comfy rugs and overstuffed chairs, lamps and candles abundantly placed, and music constantly wooing all within earshot. I would love to have a fireplace, and to be able to sit in front of it every evening, reading, writing and just finding myself. A place for friends and family to laugh and enjoy each others’ company, or for me to feel completely at ease being alone and rediscovering who I am.
I know this is a universal dream, but the places that I’ve lived have not been comfortable. I dare not stay alone in these past places, because the only comfort I found was as I slept. Don’t get me wrong…they’ve all been beautiful, richly decorated and envied by many, but not the place that I need to find my center.
So, as I continue to search for my center of peace I spend as little time as possible with my belongings and more time planning what my home will look like when I finally move in.
