I have been taking Spanish classes for 9 years because I am half Portuguese and my eventual goal was to use it to speak Portuguese.
However, this obviously has not happened.
My great grandmother died about a week ago and shes the last member of my family to speak the language. I think I’m the only one in my family fluent in Spanish, and I think this will be a good goal for me.
