I always wanted to move to the UK, but ended up falling in love with an Australian accidentally. Giving up everything to move to the other side of the world was incredibly hard and I now know I would have never emigrated for anything other than true love. It is hard. You become less of a part of your family and friends’ lives and you have to give up both objects and pets you were incredibly attached to because you simply can’t take everything. In fact I know that if I would have tried to emigrate for anything less than love, I would have given up before even going. Very difficult to start over.
