pay off my student loan

Progress Report I 23 months ago

I finally started paying off my student loan. It is over $29,000 which isn’t so bad as I did borrow over $55,000, thank you Millennium Bursaries and other donors! I have a monthly payment which I could have lowered, but I decided not to because I want to pay it off as soon as possible. I have been paying extra each month since I’ve had to start paying for it. Usually at the end of the month I will assess my financial situation and then put money on the loan accordingly to ensure that I still have enough money to pay for other bills. Also, each Friday I pay off the balance in my chequing account to round my chequing account to the nearest dollar.

I bought my first house on September 1, 2007. It is in Saskatoon and has already gone up in value!
