“Authentic” = not false or copied; to be genuine, real, valid, true.

To live each moment without pretense or falsity, to experience each moment as much as possible in its original true state; to not buy into any popular notion of ‘wealth’,’the good life’, ’ keep up with the Joneses’,’success’(success as defined by others or tied to the $ sign) etc.

To be true to oneself. To not run away from pain, sorrow, fear…and not try to numb myself with endless tasks and chores simply to avoid feeling.

To be true to my feelings; to be; to be nothing less and nothing more than authentic !

Dec 19 – I am grateful for,

1. staying warm and toasty indoors when there is a bad winter storm outside;
2. my beautiful wonderful children;
3. having hopes and dreams;
4. kindness;
5. being given this gift of life.

Just read this and thought to myself, stop whinning and complaining about all the ‘what ifs’ and how difficult this and that would be -
I will sit quietly today with this thought : its time to make opportunities of my difficulties…
