I may have tried to do too much at once. I’m starting over by changing one thing at a time about my diet. The first change that I’ve implemented is to quit adding salt or things with lots of salt to my food.

I’ve begun to eat healthier by limiting my caloric intake. I haven’t actually been counting calories or keeping a food diary (yet!) but I have definitely cut down on my portion sizes. I have also begun to quit eating unhealthy foods and I am beginning to avoid excess salt, cholesterol, and fat.
I guess my next step is to start a food diary and make a plan of some sort. I may want to check and see if my insurance will pay to send me to a dietician.
