wow, it really has. the trick to loving this album, i think, is to not compare it to their previous masterpieces but rather just accept it on its own, as a unique, wholly different, fun record. if you go into it with that mindset then you definitely wont be disappointed. the best songs (“impossible germany,” “you are my face,” “hate it here,” “leave me like you found me,” “walken”) are just so much fun and light. I think it’s a great summer album. The only problem is there is nothing here to match “Radio Cure”

I’ve always loved the way their described (or, really, just mentioned) in the Bob dylan song “Boots of Spanish Leather” which is about his lover leaving him to travel to Spain. I just think it would be wonderful to go see the magical places described in the lovely song.
