Last month I drove to the Canadian border near Surrey BC (near Vancouver) then rode my bike for the next 5& 1/2 days, solo, for 380 miles to Portland OR, where my daughter had driven my car and left it for me. I had a great time, saw a lot of beautiful country and some wildlife, and had no problems with my bike. I did get an inflamed Achilles tendon and very sore seat area but kept on and enjoyed a great adventure. I will probably wait til next yr to pick up at Portland and ride further south to the California border. questions are welcome at Rife.1@netzero.com

I wanted to do some traveling in Spain primarily. I found a bus tour company recommended in a Spain travel guide (Trafalgar tours). I looked into the tours they had and booked a 10 day one that spent 4 days each in Spain and Morocco and a couple days in Lisbon (Lisboa). I also went on my own to the Spanish Mediterranean island Majorca for a couple days. I flew in/out of Madrid. I did it as cheap as I could- my total cost for Everything was $3,000. It was very much worth it! Lisbon is a very nice city, sunny and pleasantly warm in late Oct when I was there.
I bought some software called Bridge Baron, and worked at it for awhile, but it’s very complex and I began to get bored doing these exercises by myself, so I took a break, and it’s been a long time now. Once I learn the basics I can hopefully find a group that will teach me from there.
