And the owner at the local bike shop just cut me a sweet deal (a very nice $700 bike for $450).
I beleive the fortunes don’t want me to have a car, and are smiling down on me.

Okay, so I cheated a bit.

I’m a voracious reader, so even when I had cable TV it wasn’t on much. Now that I don’t have a TV at all I get my news from different places on the net, I download the TV shows I actually want to watch (which aren’t many), and I don’t have to put up with any of the media blitz…
Prior to that I didn’t have the net in my place and it still didn’t bother me.
