Everyone has their own approach to this, and I can only tell you what worked for me.
Calorie-count.com is a wonderful site that allows you to keep track of your food intake, exercise, AND weight loss. You can look up foods and ingredients in their vast database and find the nutritional information. Limiting my calorie intake using this structured approach was the best plan for me—I couldn’t have handled giving up carbs or anything like that.
