We have most definately had feelings for each other, but when we met she was dating someone else.
Well, two-and-an-half years after we met, we were hanging out, cuddling (we both attended a lot of youth confrences, and everyone cuddles at youth cons), listening to music, and generally hanging out. She was falling asleep, and I was tired, so I randomly decided to carry her to her bed, covered her with a blanket, and lay down next to her.
Needless to say, we kissed.
I am entirely glad that it took me two-and-an-half years to figure out how to be spontaneous enough to kiss her, and that I didn’t step in while she was taken, as I have been known to do.
Note that it is easy for me to be spontaneous when drunk, but not in necesarily good ways.

Conveying what you truly think is beautiful. (Damn you Jim Carrey for being in my head every time I write that!)
Art is shared beauty.
Sometimes beauty is macabre, sometimes it is touching. Sometimes you have to sleep on it, sometimes it comes right away.
Your technical skill doesn’t impress people, I sure as hell have seen many technically amazing artists that have done things that just don’t move me in any way. If it isn’t there to convey feeling, it doesn’t do it’s job as art.
Hell, it doesn’t even need to be a drawing that you use to impress people.
So, take what you find beautiful, imagine some interesting angle on it, and put it down on paper however you feel is effective. It doesn’t have to be photo-realistic. Look at Rembrandt, his sketchbook was amazingly rough, but it conveyed an emotion, or an idea.
Other things to try are using photos as what you draw on, or maybe pages of a book.
Whatever you do, know that you intended the message.
