I’m feeling grateful today!

1. The most amazing documentary ever: 2 or 3 Things I know About Him—A man interviewed his sisters, mother and others about his father’s involvement with Hitler and his subsequent execution for war crimes. Probably the most interesting documentary ever! I don’t know how available it is, yet. I saw it on TVO, Canadian television.

2. Jim Gustafson: One of my favorite people who ever lived, great poet, good person, great storyteller, exuberant, fun, funny, original! I could go on and on. I received a postcard from him recently and miss him terribly.

3. Green Herons: I’ve seen them on Belle Isle lately. They are beautiful and interesting.

4. Lindsay and David for having such a great bar-ba-cue!

5. A five year old with the initials A.J.K.!

1. My tennis league and the awesome folks in it.
2. The Radio Shows: The Shadow, The Whistler, X-1, and I was a Communist for the FBI.
3. The Simpsons and especially the characters: Krusty, Moe, Ralph Wiggum, Nelson, and Dr. Nick.
4. An incredibly sad and beautiful poem I heard on the radio today about a mother going through the contents of the pockets of her dead son’s pants.

Today

1. The movie Sunshine which I didn’t love, but really enjoyed: it took me to a totally different, intriguing reality.

2. Popsickles: they are delicious, cool and flavorful. They always make me feel better when I am sick.

3. Not having to work this morning and getting to sleep until my heat-induced migraine mostly went away.

4. My awesome, dear and interesting friends: particularly—Lisa, AllyCatherine, David, Kathy, Lindsay and Ralph!

5. I love it when the dogs howl to the sirens. It sounds so beautiful to me and their faces look so cute while they are doing it.

Plus one: Ray LaMontagne—his song Bring Me Flowers has been delighting me daily for about a month.
