Je suck at French.

I have taken 7 years of French, and I am still horrible with it. Why? Because learning a language without being immersed in its culture useless. And you know what? I’m really not a big fan of France (sorry). So it’s not like I’m going to throw myself into the culture, but I like knowing I can speak something other than English, which many countries now consider to be a pompous language, thanks to George W. Hey, at least knowing French helps me understand Spanish and Italian a little.
