I lived in France for five years. It was a wonderful experience, but I was glad to move back to California.
Living abroad is exciting and eye-opening, but it is stressful as well. It’s not the same as visiting.

The most difficult part was expressing myself fully. My French is very good, but I was unable to write a business letter without help. I was also unable to play Scrabble or hold my own in an argument.

I have volunteered for The Marine Mammal Center since June 2007. I’ve learned so much and enjoy it so much that I want to make a career out of working with animals.

I’m willing to do anything to get my feet in the door.
