On road trips this band is amazing. the singer’s voice oozes into my brain connecting every song to some new or old memory. this band is so awesome that i listened to them straight a few days while mourning, but even afterwards, they do not remind me instantly of horrible breakup and crazy thoughts.

i discoverd tom waits only a couple years ago. recently while shrooming, i got it in my head that if there was a god, he/she would be a combination/shifting person that includes every strong black woman and tom waits. odd i know.
