This is such a hard habit to kick, especially since I’m mildly OCD so negative thoughts (or ANTs- Automatic Negative Thoughts) just pop into my mind and repeat endlessly.
The good news is that I’ve taken a lot of positive steps to help stop these ‘ANTs’. I have this positive mantra I created that specifically corresponds to goals and qualities I’d like to develop, so whenever I get stuck in a stream of negative thinking and can’t stop the repetition, I just start singing my mantra in my mind over and over again. It seems like a good habit to start, and repeating positive thoughts is a good transition—even if I still have trouble quieting my mind.

Yeah, so I realized that losing 15 pounds in less than two weeks was a bit of stretch, even for me, but I never thought I’d completely go hog wild and gain 2 pounds instead of lose. Thus, I feel disgusting so I’m starting an actual diet plan, part of which is to stay under 1000 cals daily. I’d like to be at 103/105ish by the time winter break is over around January 15th, so that gives me plenty of time. Haha, especially since at least half of the weight I’ve gained is medication induced, so hopefully now that I started something to counteract that weight loss will be easier.
I also decided that I would be totally fine with eating healthy as long as I’m under 105 pounds. So that’s a good change in my eating attitude at least!
