I'm doing 42 things
I had met a guy who appears to be a potential marriage partner. I decided to talk to God.
Me: God, could M be the right guy for me? It seems that we want the same things and we are attracted to each others in a way.
God: Remember, the right guy for you is the one that truly loves you with my love for you. He respects you, wants what’s the best for you. He may or may not have all the qualities you are looking for, but he has love. True love is the only thing that can last throughout time, all the way into eternity.
Me: How would I know if someone truly loves me?
God: Love is built over time, with consideration, persistent respect, understanding, trust, forgiveness. It is forged by enduring difficulties and sharing joys together. He may or may not be someone that you want in the beginning, but he can offer what I have for you – my love for you. He has the heart to be a channel for which my love is poured out to you.
Me: What you have described sounds like a total miracle.
God: It is. It takes a miracle from me for a man to meet his wife, the wife that I have prepared for him.
Me: Are you saying that I am a miracle that you have prepared for someone?
God: You should most definitely look at yourself this way.
Me: I am thirty pounds over weight, not in perfect health, wearing glasses.
God: And with a heart that is loyal, ready to be the channel for which my love is poured out onto someone.
Me: Yes.
God: That’s the miracle I am talking about. A slender body is not necessarily a blessing from me. A channel of my love, a heart to minister to someone, is from me. You are my beloved daughter, a princess. The man who will receive you as his wife is about to receive a great miracle from me. You need to look at yourself this way, and think of your marriage this way. It is one of the most sacred miracles I give to people here on earth. You are so precious. The man who truly recognize your worth is willing to lose all he has for you.
