I finally got around to planning a white water rafting trip to the Ocoee River in Tennessee during a visit to a friend’s in Chattanooga. It was great! I would definitely recommend it. The gorge we rafted through was absolutely beautiful, and the rafting was not as physically arduous as I had expected. The rapids were also not nearly as rough or wild as I had thought they would be. There was very little strenuous about it. I hope to go back now and do the full river trip!

How I did it: The local zoo had two white cubs on loan from a tiger reserve. They let people come in to spend half an hour with the cubs for $50. It's important for the cubs because it helps socialize them and prepare them for spending a life in close contact with humans. It makes the zoo staff's job much safer later on. It was an amazing experience. They were so soft and sweet and fun, just incredible creatures. Read how I did it…
Only spent one day in Yosemite, and saw most of it by car. It’s really a park where you should spend a few days and plan to see it by hiking the trails. There are only 3 roads through the park, but you can use them to see the biggest sights. This is where El Capitan and the giant sequioas are. They charge $20 per car, but it is well worth it, especially if you have the time to get out and hike. Take a bathing suit so you can get in the waterfalls and streams!
Takes a very long time to travel because it is 2 lane with lots of twists and turns along the cliffs. Breathtakingly beautiful sights though!!
